Instagram isn’t the newest social media platform out there, but it’s holding strong as one of the most important tools for brand marketing. With so many new platforms coming out, on a seemingly weekly basis, Instagram still stands out. Here, showing a brand’s human side is not only allowed, it’s crucial. Instagram creates the unique opportunity to engage with users on a personal level and here’s how they are doing it:
- Establish a presence - Just like any social media platform, brands are posting photos often. They generally have a certain number of photos that they try to post each day or even each week. This keeps their users engaged and coming back to see the flow of consistent original content.
- Share Authentic Content- Instagram is the perfect platform to show customers, and fellow businesses alike, a side the brand that few get to see. Brands are snapping photos of real things and real people interacting. They give users a look behind the scenes and give them the opportunity to get to know the company on a different level.
- Follow and Comment – Brands also take the engagement one step further by keeping up with users by commenting on photos and following relevant accounts. If someone expresses interest in a brand, it’s not a good idea to ignore them!
- Run a Campaign – Now that we see many brands with an established following, they are creating more and more campaigns. Running a campaign that engages users and encourages them to interact with the brand is an even better way to get even more users involved!
